Movie Story

The plot follows Bantu (Allu Arjun) who is hated and neglected by his father Valmiki (Sharma). Bantu later learns that his biological father is not Valmiki but a rich businessman, Ramachandra (Jayaram). Bantu enters Ramachandra’s house, Vaikuntapuram to protect his biological family.
The film was released theatrically on 12 January 2020, coinciding with Sankranti. It opened to positive reviews, with critics praising Allu Arjun and Murali Sharma’s performances, Trivikram’s writing and direction and Thaman’s music. The film is a commercial success, with a gross ₹306 crore (US$43 million), it ended up as one of the highest-grossing Telugu films.
